Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist to oversee regulatory adherence across our gaming operations, particularly as we expand into Class II gaming and Interactive First Studio games. This role is crucial in ensuring our company remains compliant with all applicable regulations while driving innovation in the gaming sector. This role requires deep expertise in gaming regulations, risk management, and ISO27001 certification processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading the company's risk register and ensuring robust security and compliance practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of gaming regulations, game-specific compliance requirements, and a strong knowledge of traditional and emerging table games.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies for the expansion into Class II games and Interactive First Studio games.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable gaming regulations and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead and manage the risk register, identifying and mitigating regulatory and operational risks and developing proactive solutions to maintain regulatory integrity.
  • Oversee and drive the ISO27001 certification process, ensuring the organization meets information security standards.
  • Act as the lead implementer for ISO27001, managing policy creation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, gaming commissions, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with gaming laws and industry best practices.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and training to internal teams on compliance matters, risk management, and security protocols.
  • Conduct compliance audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate compliance risks and support business growth.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes in the gaming industry and ensure timely adaptation of compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with game development teams and operational teams to integrate compliance requirements seamlessly into product development and ensure new game features comply with regulatory standards.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of interactive games and their regulatory requirements. Ensure all game mechanics, payout structures, and operational models meet jurisdictional requirements, with a strong focus on table games.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in regulatory compliance within the interactive gaming industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Class II gaming regulations and Interactive First Studio gaming.
  • Strong understanding of ISO27001 certification processes, with experience leading implementation efforts.
  • Proven experience managing a risk register and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Solid working knowledge of table games and their regulatory and operational standards.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply gaming regulations across multiple jurisdictions and provide strategic compliance guidance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills to assess compliance risks effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage licensing processes, audits, and regulatory reporting.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with regulatory bodies or gaming commissions.
  • Experience in compliance management for online gaming operations.
  • Familiarity with gaming software development and its associated regulatory challenges.
