Job description

We are working with a leading civils company, who are actively looking for a Senior Buyer to work on the Rail Division side. You will work on NEC Contracts.

Duties:

  • Identifying the operational unit demand and supply chain capacity.
  • Buying materials for sub-lines, bridges, lifts, and platforms for Rail Stations.
  • Working on all aspects of the buyer cycle.
  • Procurement of sub-contractors and materials covering pre-construction, work winning, supply chain, and production of sub-contracts for Rail projects.
  • Manage the supply chain including performance and relationship management.
  • Working with stakeholders.

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures from pre and construction stage.
  • Good experience with stakeholders.
  • Experience working on NEC Contracts.
  • Experience working with sub-contractors on Rail projects.

Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP60,000 plus allowance and package, with some flexible home working.

The client is open to speaking to Quantity Surveyors who have a civils background in rail on NEC contracts and are potentially looking to move to a buyer's role.
