Senior Radiographer – Specialist Neuro Imaging Centre

£46,000 – £55,000 + 32 Days Annual Leave + Pension + Private Medical Insurance + Bonuses

Central London

Full-time – 35 hours – Monday to Friday

Are you an MRI Radiographer with a specialist interest in neuro scans? Do you feel that you have hit the ceiling of career progression in your current job? Is high quality patient care and imaging at the forefront of what you do?

This could be the perfect opportunity for you!

I am proud to be working with a private specialist Neuro imaging service based in Central London. We are searching for an MRI radiographer, who is currently working at a Band 7 level or equivalent, to join this prestigious organisation and their tightly knit team of advanced radiographers.

This specialist imaging department boasts its cutting-edge technology as they are 1 of 4 centres in the UK and 1 of 2 centres in London that offer MR guided focused ultrasound treatment, which is used for an incision-less procedure for the treatment of essential tremor.

This role has a real focus on neuro MRI scans but will also cover some MSK and body imaging. There is also a responsibility for CT scanning with this position, however the CT is something the service is looking to develop in the near future. The current scanners within the service are a GE 3T wide bore scanner along with a GE Revolution EVO CT scanner.

This organisation fiercely protects their budgets for staff training and CPD and can offer internal or external courses to equip you with the tools you need to be the best at what you do. You will also have the opportunity to attend conferences to represent the organisation as a whole.

What’s in it for you?

  • 24 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
  • Optional Saturday List – Enhanced Rate
  • 5% Bonus Scheme Dependent on Company Performance
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Season Ticket Loan
  • Cycle Scheme
  • Summer and Christmas Staff Parties
  • CT Training

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a HCPC registered radiographer who has completed their BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or Equivalent. You will be working at a Band 7 level or equivalent and ideally cover both CT and MRI, however we are happy to review applications from Band 6 radiographers who have extensive experience in Neuro MRI scans. As the department is a specialist in neurology imaging, experience in neuro MRI is crucial for this role.

As a Senior Radiographer, you are expected to take on additional operational responsibilities to help maintain the accreditation of “Quality Standards for Imaging”. Whether this is governance, medicine management, MRI safety, safeguarding, auditing or SOPs. The area of your operational responsibility can be flexible and suited to your areas of interest. With a real promote from within culture, there will also be opportunities for professional development in the future!

The service is open Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 with an occasional Saturday list to support the NHS with their patient lists. You will be required to work Monday to Friday but the Saturday list is optional. The shift patterns are 07:45 – 15:15 or 10:30 – 18:00. The successful candidates will have a dynamic and flexible approach to support the needs of the service.

If you feel that you have the transferable skills required for this role, please apply!
