Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time enthusiastic motivated radiographer to join our existing multidisciplinary team. This is open to existing Band 6 and Band 5 radiographers wishing to develop their careers. Band 5 Radiographers will be required to complete competencies before achieving a Band 6 position.

Main duties of the job

The post offers an excellent opportunity to develop further clinical skills within an expanding interventional radiology & fluoroscopy service. Interventional Radiology provides angiography & PCI services for both radiology and cardiology patients from across the three sites of the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. We have three angiography suites and three fluoroscopy rooms. The post holder will work closely with all the team members supporting each other's roles.

IR experience is not essential as a schedule of extensive training will be organised by the Radiographer team leader to ensure relevant competencies are obtained, however an interest in IR is essential.

The post holder will be required to work trustwide to fit the needs of both services. Flexible working hours with extended days and participation in the IR on-call rota is essential.

If you are interested in this post please feel free to contact Zoe Birrell, Interventional Radiology Team Leader on 01924 541578/541603 for more details about this post or an informal visit.
