Senior Quantity Surveyor - Wakefield, West Yorkshire

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial part of the commercial team working on a range of building frames and complex structures across various sectors including:

1. Commercial
2. Healthcare
3. Education
4. Industrial
5. MoD
6. Leisure
7. Infrastructure
8. Residential
9. Retail

Projects typically range from £2m - £10m.

The role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

1. Manage and oversee all cost management aspects of the project, from inception to completion.
2. Prepare, analyse, and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender/pre-construction documentation.
3. Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice to minimise project risks.
4. Monitor project progress, prepare valuations, and handle interim and final accounts.
5. Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional development.
6. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements of a Senior Quantity Surveyor:

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
2. Experience within the construction sector.
3. Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team.
