Role: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Biggin Hill, Kent

Salary : £50,000 to £70,000 + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Pension + 23 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established specialist subcontractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality general decoration, specialist finishes, functional coatings, protective coatings and heritage and restoration work. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be joining a business that has a growing list of exciting clients across the commercial, residential, infrastructure and heritage sectors where contract values can be as large as £5m.

Responsibilities

1. Managing multiple packages of work across 2-3 high-profile projects
2. Undertaking pre- and post-contract commercial management including valuations, variations and final accounts
3. Client and subcontractor management ensuring strong working relationships
4. Cost reporting and forecasting to ensure project profitability
5. Working with JCT contracts

Requirements

1. Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a specialist painting, finishing, or coatings subcontractor
2. Strong understanding of JCT contracts and subcontractor commercial management.
3. Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages.
4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
5. A team player who can work closely with project and site teams.
