An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established specialist subcontractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality general decoration, specialist finishes, functional coatings, protective coatings and heritage and restoration work. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be joining a business that has a growing list of exciting clients across the commercial, residential, infrastructure and heritage sectors where contract values can be as large as £5m.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple packages of work across 2-3 high-profile projects
• Undertaking pre- and post-contract commercial management including valuations, variations and final accounts
• Client and subcontractor management ensuring strong working relationships
• Cost reporting and forecasting to ensure project profitability
• Working with JCT contracts

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a specialist painting, finishing, or coatings subcontractor
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts and subcontractor commercial management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• A team player who can work closely with project and site teams.
