Job Title: Senior/Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company based in the Yorkshire area. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary and excellent career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide commercial support to site and project managers
  2. Monitor and update project costs, comparing monthly forecasts to actuals
  3. Manage subcontractor procurement from start to finish
  4. Conduct valuations, certifications, and approvals of subcontractor payments
  5. Guide operational teams on cost estimation and contractual requirements
  6. Present valuation reports and cost estimates to clients and managers
  7. Tender and negotiate contracts, prepare target costs and contract documents
  8. Support, manage, and mentor junior surveyors

Requirements

  1. HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (Degree desirable)
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  3. Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract types (JCT, NEC, etc.)
  4. Proficient in MS Office
  5. Valid UK driving license and CSCS card
