Job description

My client is currently recruiting for an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on an exciting mixed use residential development.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Brighton

Up to £83k + £6k Car Allowance (£92k Total) + Great company specific benefits

Permanent Role

For a tier 1 build contractor

Main Duties:
  1. Provide commercial expertise and be responsible for the financial delivery end to end for the project lifecycle.
  2. Report to a Commercial Manager with oversight of a Junior QS.
  3. Manage relevant surveying staff to ensure that projects are procured and delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding customer expectations.
  4. Accurately value, certify and issue any relevant payment notices for the subcontract works in accordance with the conditions of their subcontract.
  5. Ensure that external valuations are submitted in accordance with conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date, taking full responsibility for the project's cash position.
  6. Complete CVC reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the current position on site and the final profit projection.
  7. Manage, train, and develop junior surveying staff.
Essential Criteria:
  1. Understanding of various forms of contracts.
  2. Degree qualified (ideal, not essential).
  3. Able to manage and report on large complex projects.
  4. A track record of successful procurement.
  5. Experience working on mixed-use residential projects.
