Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

Our client is a Tier 1 Major Contractor who now has a pipeline of projects within the Central belt of Scotland over the next 4-6 years. The projects include Commercial Building and mixed-use Commercial/Industrial development schemes designed by a highly experienced Design team of Architects and Engineers.

To support the existing Leadership and Commercial management team, they now require an experienced QS / Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 Main Contracting background to support the post-contract delivery phase of a range of commercial projects in Central Scotland ranging from £5M to £20M.

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor candidate will have the following experience and abilities:

1. Minimum of 10 years with a commercial Contracting environment in a Senior Commercial role
2. Degree Qualified or equivalent
3. Experience of Commercial Design and Build Schemes desirable
4. Experience of a range of Contractual forms and agreements
5. Ability to relate well to internal colleagues and external clients
6. Network amongst Central Scotland Design Team & Supply Chain would be of interest
7. Commercial awareness to minimize risk to margin
8. Experience of JCT and NEC Forms of contract
9. The ability to manage works packages on projects upwards of circa £5 - £10M
