Our client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Birmingham; this is a full-time permanent role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, and benefits package.
This role is to work as part of the refurbishment team on social housing carrying out external works, EWI, kitchens & bathrooms, voids, and structural alterations. You will be responsible for leading on a major framework with a team of quantity surveyors under you.
This is a great development opportunity for someone who is keen to progress, as the client is looking for someone to come in and lead on the projects, really making them their own.
The role will be based either from one of their Birmingham depots or from site depending on the project, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week. They do provide a car or car allowance and expenses.
To take responsibility, ownership, and accountability of the successful management and control of all aspects of the commercial/financial and contractual elements of designated projects within a Division to control and maximize the company profitability, protect the legal and contractual obligations under the contract, and to manage proactively the control of all commercial issues. This includes managing other commercial and operational resources, ensuring applications and valuations are completed in line with the contract terms, and ensuring sub-contractors receive prompt payment and are procured in line with our contractual obligations and commitments to sub-contractors. In addition, ensuring cost reports and the like are real-time, managed, completed on time, and monitored.
