Job description

Job Title: Senior Quality Manager - Quality Engineering

Location: Barrow-in-Furness - Onsite

Salary: From £60,350 - depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  1. Leading a team of 15 quality engineers to deliver strategic, six sigma improvement projects targeted at reducing programme risk due to quality issues
  2. Providing management support to junior managers in the team - issue resolution, fostering collaboration, and skills development to ensure successful project delivery
  3. Communicating quality performance and progress of 'right first time' interventions to key stakeholders, including programme directors and customers
  4. Synthesising data from a wide range of sources to develop improvement strategies and determine operational priorities
  5. Adapting departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges

Your skills and experiences:

  1. Proven leadership experience
  2. Experienced in effective stakeholder management on complex projects
  3. Experience in application of Improvement methodologies (FMEA, DMAIC, 8D). Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt qualified
  4. Experience in quality/continuous improvement, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  5. Strong organisational, project management, and data analysis skills. Excellent communication ability - written and verbal
