Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be specifically responsible for the management of the pharmacy quality system for the Pharmacy Department.
The post-holder will support the Quality Assurance Lead in promoting and facilitating the development of an effective Quality system, risk management, assurance, and compliance management across the Pharmacy department.
The day-to-day organisation and supervision of pharmacy Quality Assurance services under the direction of the Quality Assurance Lead.
Support the QC officer and the QA technician in planning, prioritising workload and task allocation and QA/QC training.

- Btec in Pharmaceutical science and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, Science degree, or Science manufacturing technician (SMT) qualification.
- Registration with General Pharmaceutical (GPhC) or Science Council.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development through a combination of long and short courses and study days to obtain knowledge of Pharmacy Technical Services plus knowledge of how to deal with a range of non-routine activities including answering queries and progress chasing.
Desirable- Quality assurance experience within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
- Ability to encourage others.
- Ability to prioritise and organise competing workloads yet retain sufficient flexibility to respond to new circumstances.
- Ability to organise and evaluate data, assessing its importance by creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
