Job description

The fixed term contract is expected to be for 3 years working on one of our HS2 contracts for EKFB. The individual needs to be well organised and proactive with an eye for detail in order to raise CEs, manage change and chase down agreement of outstanding CEs.

This person will work with the existing Site Team and be responsible for all Commercial aspects of this project reporting into me (Managing Surveyor) at the Worcester Office. There may be opportunity for a role in one of our Southern teams following completion of this project.

NEC contract experience is essential, this particular contract is NEC3 Option B.

Knowledge of CEMAR would also be beneficial but training can be provided.

The role will involve:
  • Cradle to Grave Compensation Event management
  • Client facing resolution of account issues
  • Ensuring contractual notices (EWNs & CEs) are raised in accordance with contract timescales
  • Pricing and submission of CE quotations in accordance with contract timescales working with site operations team
  • Closing out of existing CEs to ensure best case recovery in a timely manner
  • Placement of sub-contract orders, commercial management of sub-contractors, assessment of applications and processing of sub-contract payments
  • Production of monthly Applications for Payment
  • Monthly financial reporting and forecasting of contract value and costs
