Job Description

QA Engineer (Senior) | Financial Services | Cypress, Typescript, C#, Specflow | London (Hybrid) | £60-65k + benefits

A Senior QA Engineer is needed to join our leading financial services client in London. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to develop and maintain automation test frameworks, support continuous integration pipelines, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute automated test cases based on business and functional requirements.
2. Utilize SpecFlow and enhance Cypress automation framework with TypeScript for efficient test automation.
3. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline with continuous testing, API testing (RestSharp/Postman), and defect detection.
4. Collaborate with development and business teams to define test criteria, improve requirements, and drive Shift Left QA.
5. Advocate for quality, prevent defects early, and ensure thorough validation of acceptance criteria.

Key Skills:

1. Good understanding of agile software development lifecycle, including open-source testing.
2. Experience with C# and TypeScript.
3. Experience using SpecFlow, RestSharp, and Cypress.io.
4. Experience working in a fast-paced Agile team with CI/CD and BDD.
5. Experience in testing APIs using Postman.
6. Experience in using JIRA, GitHub/TeamCity.
7. Extensive knowledge of automating, debugging, and maintaining API tests and frameworks.
8. Understand and apply SOLID principles for patterns in developing Automation frameworks.
