NEW OPPORTUNITY - Senior PV Design Engineer - £70,000 - Reading (Hybrid)
Piper Maddox are working with a Pan-European Independent Power Provider! The group has been on a mission for the last 15 years to provide clean energy to the world through affordable and reliable solutions. They now operate a 300MW portfolio, as well as a development portfolio of over 3GW.
My client is on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Senior PV Design Engineer to lead the charge in delivering cutting-edge solar and battery storage systems.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the creation of high-quality solar PV and BESS designs-from concept to completion
* Oversee technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, ensuring precision and compliance
* Be the technical go-to, guiding teams, clients, and suppliers through the design process
* Align project design milestones with budget and timeline expectations
* Ensure every project meets the latest industry standards, safety protocols, and regulations
Key Skills:
* Deep knowledge of solar PV and energy storage systems, including grid integration
* Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD and PVSyst
* Understanding of HV/LV connections, SCADA systems, and power plant controllers
* At least 5 years of experience designing solar PV systems
* A background in electrical or renewable engineering is a big plus
