Senior Project Planner

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Project Planner, based in Aberdeen. This is a great opportunity to be part of the integrated Projects Controls team in a senior role. Responsibilities:

1. Provide support to the Lead Project Planner with covering the Company's Project portfolio.
2. Relevant Major Capital Projects Planning experience from early concept phase through to Decommissioning.
3. Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software.
4. Ability to generate and maintain integrated project schedules and plans.
5. Proficient understanding of WBS & Activity code structures.
6. Generate and issue a variety of weekly and monthly planning reports such as Gantt Charts, S-Curves, Resource Histograms, and Project Dashboards.
7. Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques.
8. Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending and what-if scenarios.
9. Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control & Risk Analysis (CSRA Process).
10. Provision of accurate planning information to the Project manager(s) and Lead Engineer(s) to allow for work prioritisation, scheduling, reporting, and resourcing.
11. Interfacing with Contractor and Company asset planners to ensure Project scope alignment.

Requirements:

1. IT Skills - Excellent working Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Uses initiative, experience, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
6. Commitment to continuous improvement.
7. Ability to guide & mentor others.
8. Demonstrates effective organisation & project planning skills.
