Senior Project Manager (Fixed Term Contract)

Contract Type: 3-month Fixed Term Contract (potential to extend or become permanent)

Location: London-based (no travel required)

Salary Range: £60,000 to £80,000 (Senior Project Manager or Associate Director level)

Overview:

A leading Project Management and Construction Consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager or Associate Director for an initial 3-month fixed term contract, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role. The position will involve managing post-completion defect work for their residential developer client, who builds around 4,000 homes annually across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and coordinate the resolution of defects on completed residential projects.
2. Work closely with contractors to ensure timely and effective delivery of remedial work.
3. Ensure clear communication and reporting to the client regarding project status and progress.
4. Focus on post-completion work without managing a compacted design or procurement process.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Must possess strong construction knowledge and project management expertise.
2. Previous experience in a contractor, developer, or project management consultancy setting is ideal.
3. Capable of managing third-party contractors effectively without requiring on-site presence.
4. Strong reporting and client communication skills are essential.
5. Able to start immediately or within 1-2 weeks.
