Job Summary

As a Senior Project Manager within AECOM’s London Project Management Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing medium to large-scale built environment and construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring their successful delivery while continuing to develop your specialised knowledge.

Your role will involve overseeing significant phases of projects, guiding junior team members, and fostering client and consultant relationships. Additionally, you will support business development activities and contribute to AECOM's team and organisational growth.

We are looking for an experienced Fit-Out Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-quality interior fit-out projects from inception to completion. Someone with a proven track record in managing commercial fit-out projects, with a focus on stakeholder management, quality, cost control, and timely delivery. You will be responsible for managing project teams, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring all works are carried out in line with client requirements, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Deliver: Drive project delivery on our project management commissions to meet time, budget, and quality requirements, while fostering collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
  • Client-Centric Excellence: Strengthen client relationships by delivering an exceptional service, aligning project outcomes with client objectives and contributing to the business’ growth.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and support junior members of our team in their career development, contribute to talent development initiatives and champion a positive, high-performance team culture.
  • Industry Engagement and Growth: Support bids and business development activities, engage with industry forums and networking events, and take ownership of your professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the organisation.

Skills and Experiences

  • Experience and technical knowledge in project management within the built environment or construction industry.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and good client relationship management.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services, and comfortable in the role of consultant.
  • Be proactive, solution-oriented and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to support the development of colleagues, particularly towards professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM).

If you meet some, but not all, of the requirements above or have transferable skills you believe would benefit us, we would still be delighted to hear from you.

Qualifications

Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, CIOB, APM) achieved or commitment to achieve one.
