Your future duties and responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager you will lead application management and development projects in complex environments. You'll work alongside talented, driven people to improve some of the UK's most impactful public services, tackling problems that affect the most vulnerable citizens.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing project proposals, charters, and comprehensive project management plans
  2. Managing project team efforts, timelines and resources effectively
  3. Applying robust change, scope, risk, and expectation management strategies
  4. Reporting and managing project financials
  5. Maintaining transparent communication through regular status updates to the team and client
  6. Leading the development of business requirements documentation
  7. Ensuring adherence to CGI's quality guidelines
  8. Mentoring team members and supporting the development of project management capabilities across the business unit

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  1. Formal project management certification(s) (such as; PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PMI-ACP, Project+, CAPM, SAFe)
  2. Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  4. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  5. Experience delivering medium to large scale projects in complex environments
  6. Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Lean
  7. Strong people skills, with the ability to develop and upskill others
  8. Experience working with Central Government, policing or law enforcement highly advantageous
