Our Business Service Group (BSG) continues to grow and is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our vibrant office with remote or hybrid working. This role suits someone with previous experience in a similar Project Manager role within the pension industry.

The Team

We are proud to have been ranked No.1 Third Party Administrator in Professional Pensions Survey five times in the last seven years. This role is based within the Project Management team, supporting the XPS Administration business.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager with XPS, you will:

  1. Work on medium to large sized projects alongside a less experienced Project Manager and/or Project Support Officer.
  2. Identify and deliver the agreed project scope.
  3. Setup and maintain all project documents (PID, Plan, RAID Log, etc).
  4. Lead required internal and external calls.
  5. Communicate (written and verbal) to internal stakeholders, clients, and other 3rd parties.
  6. Complete the project to the agreed milestones and live dates.
  7. Track and charge any fees associated with project delivery.
  8. Work with less experienced Project Managers and/or Project Support Officers to maximise effectiveness.

Your Profile

Essential Criteria

  1. Previous experience in a similar Project Manager role.
  2. Project management experience from the pension industry is highly desirable.
  3. Qualified to degree level or equivalent; candidates with strong A-Level qualifications will be considered.
  4. Candidates without formal qualifications but with extensive relevant experience will be considered.
  5. Prince 2 Practitioner qualification (or similar) beneficial.
  6. Experience of technical and business change deliveries.
  7. Strong stakeholder management skills.
  8. Positive and proactive approach.
  9. Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  10. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  11. Able to multi-task and respond to changing priorities.
  12. Take ownership and responsibility for own work.
  13. IT proficient in MS Office, including MS Project.
  14. Flexible approach to work pressures.
  15. Good problem-solving skills.
  16. Strong belief in adhering to deadlines and quality service.
  17. Able to mentor/coach less experienced colleagues.
