An energy transformation firm based in Swindon is looking for a Senior Project Manager.

The Senior Project Manager will join the operations team and work on multiple projects around the UK, acting as the primary point of contact internally and externally. This role focuses on large complex projects, ensuring effective communication is maintained with all stakeholders throughout the project life cycle from award to completion.

The Senior Project Manager will be a self-starter with project management experience within the electrical industry, who challenges processes daily and thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, helping to build for the future.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver projects on time, to quality standards, and within budgets to maximize profit.
2. Provide project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource management, contractor management, financial management, and change management across the project portfolio.
3. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and clients, ensuring projects are delivered first time, every time.
4. Embed project control and governance aligning with company processes.
5. Design and maintain accurate and current programmes of work for the projects delivered.
6. Support the Commercial team with project feedback, recommendations, and lessons learned.
7. Deliver projects sustainably, considering competence, capability, and safety.
8. Attend sites when necessary to set contractors to work, troubleshoot, monitor quality, and conduct management audits.
9. Ensure cross-programme dependencies are managed accurately and efficient change control methods and processes are utilized.
10. Act as a mentor to the broader PM team, supporting continuous development.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Proficient use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.
2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication styles.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team.
4. Competent in MS Project or equivalent Project Management software.
5. Experience managing the project life cycle, from ownership to completion.
6. Good awareness of electrical networks and supporting documentation & industry terminology.
7. Ability to create and present project reports, particularly progress against targets and budgets.
8. Agility in challenging situations, with the ability to find appropriate cost-effective solutions.
9. Excellent customer management skills.
10. Drive to support the development of junior colleagues.

Qualifications:

1. Project Management qualification or equivalent experience (e.g., Prince 2, APM, PMI).
2. Full UK driving license (maximum of 3 penalty points).
3. CSCS (or equivalent).
4. SPA (Petrol forecourt).
5. SSSTS.
6. Emergency first aid at work.
7. Experience working alongside Design teams.
8. Experience working in the electrical industry (ICP/IDNO/DNO/CPO).
9. Experience working with multiple voltage levels.

The Senior Project Manager salary is £50-65k + car allowance + bonus + excellent benefits.
