Job description

For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved. From the pit crew searching for the ultimate repeatable pit stop, to the inspiration of the designers, the application of engineers and the herculean efforts of an army of fabricators and machinists. Much of our success is thanks to the diversity of thought and spectrum of skill sets held within the team, our ability to recognise unique contributions from individual team members is just a part of why we love what we do.

Job Description

We have an exciting new position for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our current Buildings and Estate Project Management team!

The role will be integral to supporting the expansion of our dynamic F1 facilities and you will be responsible for several projects at any one time whether on your own or part of a team.

Our construction projects feature a heavy reliance on Mechanical and Electrical systems and we’re looking for someone with a strong working knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, and electrical systems etc.

This is a unique role as we manage traditional construction projects as a client representative, but also self-deliver projects as a contractor/principal contractor. So, we’re looking for a blend of contracting project management experience as well as consultancy project management.

Due to the nature and sensitivity of our business, this is a site-based role where the Senior PM will be expected to be on campus in Milton Keynes every day, however the benefit is working on creating a world class technology campus with all projects located within walking distance of the Facilities office.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Involved in all construction stages from concept to commissioning and occupancy.
  2. Manage multiple projects, ensuring on-schedule delivery with minimal business disruption.
  3. Collaborate with Main Contractor and departments to develop and present practical solutions.
  4. Translate project requirements into working solutions with the design team and contractor.
  5. Develop cost proposals, maintain cost analysis, and ensure budget adherence.
  6. Act as a point of contact for project issues, offering solutions and resolving problems.
  7. Ensure handover documents are received and distributed for maintenance and warranty understanding.
  8. Prepare necessary permissions for construction projects, including Planning and Building Control approval.

Key Competencies:

  1. Experienced in both contractor and client-side Project Management.
  2. Deep understanding of M&E Systems with a keen eye for detail.
  3. Effective Stakeholder Management, balancing requirements, and delivery.
  4. Dynamic thinker, guiding projects with insightful questions.
  5. Delivery-focused.

Now from us - what you can expect to receive in return:

We’re incredibly proud of all the talented people who work at Red Bull Technology Group, and we reward this talent and hard work with many benefits on top of a highly competitive salary.

Benefits include a bonus scheme, private healthcare, life assurance scheme, workplace nursery scheme, company contributed pension, on site gym, padel court and fitness classes, daily food allowance and much more.
