Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Project Leader who can collaborate, innovate, and drive new initiatives, to join our Transformative Innovation (TI) department.

‘TI’ is a dynamic, fast paced and focused department that is responsible for developing and delivering next generation bathing experiences. As Senior Project Lead, you will lead a cross functional team to deliver exciting new products within the TI Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of new products from kick off to project closure, driving new initiatives and facilitating speed to market with an entrepreneurial approach of ‘finding a way”.

As a self-starter you will proactively drive to beat stretch targets and capable of inspiring a global team. You demonstrate a proven track record of project delivery in a product development environment and will have an ability to look beyond your day-to-day role and understand how it supports the wider business strategy.

About the Role

This role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of New Product Development projects (from concept through to production) and reports directly into the Creative Labs UK Manager.

The key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Supporting the development of a 5-year rolling plan for your Category.
2. Working with the delivery team to translate project requirements into tangible deliverables.
3. Successfully own, lead and deliver entire projects ensuring they adhere to quality, time, and cost targets.
4. Managing cross functional teams to ensure their alignment and commitment to delivering against agreed timelines and objectives.
5. Regularly reporting to key stakeholders giving status updates and options to mitigate variances against agreed timelines.
6. Facilitating regular cross functional meetings, workshops and ad hoc reviews, to ensure regular alignment and manage any project conflict.
7. Implementing robust risk management to ensure risks are understood, mitigated and escalated when required.
8. Helping to challenge existing project processes and help develop streamlined approaches to enable fast delivery of high technology projects.
9. Leading by example by using fact-based decision making, achieving timely consensus within the team, and avoiding over-analysis.
10. Budget management - Owning and reporting category budget for revenue and capital.

Skills/Requirements

1. A technically competent individual, with at least 5 years experience of managing technical projects involving a broad range of technologies and processes.
2. Education: Apprenticeship or higher education, i.e. HND, degree, masters.
3. Thorough understanding of cost build up, knowledge of cost accounting methods and the impact on project budget and category financial performance.
4. Experience with MS Project & MS Office suite.
5. A strategic mind, looking at future trends and technologies.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge project teams and stakeholders to achieve innovative solutions and comfortable with taking managed risks.
7. Ability to build strong, influential working relationships and inspire trust amongst team and wider colleagues.
8. Comfortable with navigating change and ambiguity and able to stay solution focused.

Desirable Requirements:

1. Experience within a product development related discipline (engineering, product design, or manufacturing).
2. Project Management qualification eg Prince 2, APM, PMI.
