Project Engineer - BESS/Solar PV
Location: Liverpool, UK (hybrid)
We're currently partnered with a fast-growing, global independent renewable energy producer. Our client focus on the design, development, financing and managing energy projects. They are currently searching for an ambitious, driven individual, who is eager to shape the energy transition!
Role Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you’ll lead cutting-edge renewable energy projects from concept to construction, optimizing design, performance and compliance. You'll drive technical excellence across design, due diligence, and contract delivery—collaborating with key stakeholders and shaping the future of sustainable energy on the ground and behind the scenes
Key Responsibilities:
- Key role in project sizing & technical-economic analysis - assessing customer requirements, to develop solutions
- Design in accordance with industry codes and standards, considering feedback from other areas
- Serve as the technical lead for tender preparation and Request for Quotation (RFQ) development and evaluation.
- Coordinate and evaluate pre-construction technical surveys
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in renewable energy project development (BESS, solar, or wind)
- Experience working with utility-scale BESS or Solar PV projects
- Proficiency in solar PV design software (i.e. PVsyst and PVCase) with a strong understanding of renewable energy systems
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering
