Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Production Planner to join our client's site at their manufacturing site near Cambridge.

The Senior Production Planner will be a key team player within the Operations Team, responsible for manufacturing and logistics planning on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities as Production & Logistics Planner:

• Responsible for ensuring daily production and logistics plans are completed.
• Managing a small team of Production Planners.
• Interface between Business Assistants, Customer Service, and Production.
• Ensure correct and timely requests for raw materials are maintained and supply issues escalated to the Management team.
• Oversee the site's logistics function.
• Order raw materials and coordinate the delivery schedule.
• Coordinate transport stream for finished products and samples.
• Responsible for the delivery documentation.
• Work in accordance with the company's values, HR, and HS&E policies: instructions, minimum requirements, and guidelines.

Skills required for Production and Logistics Planner:

• Previous experience within a similar role, a minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of SAP and Excel.
