Job description

What will I be doing?

The Senior Production Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective management of one of our key recycling, waste and material processing/production facilities.

Working closely with the production team, you will:

  1. Maximise the potential revenue from recycling and refuse derived fuel,
  2. Ensure we achieve very high quality products, to tight specifications
  3. Lead and manage the team, constantly evaluating and acting on issues, driving continuous improvement.

What are the requirements?

A proven production manager/supervisor, you must be able to demonstrate a strong capability of working in a positive and quality-driven manner, safely and efficiently in a demanding processing environment.

You'll need:

  1. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, promoting a positive and success-driven environment
  2. Strong communication and IT skills, coupled with a personal desire to achieve
  3. Good financial awareness in relation to KPIs
  4. IOSH, NEBOSH or a similar Health and Safety qualification is preferable (or can be gained)
  5. Knowledge of maintenance planning & implementation would be advantageous,
  6. Any specific lean and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and/or 5S, being highly beneficial.
