Your responsibilities

• Use your excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to liaise with the business and technical teams through to delivery.
• Drive effective business solutions by leading the conversation with end users.
• Work closely and proactively with internal and external stakeholders, making decisions on changes and improvements for new product development, new strategic projects, and the continued development of the existing suite of products.
• As the user advocate / representative, lead, explain and clarify the right requirements so the development teams have a solid understanding of what needs to be delivered.
• Regularly demonstrate new features to internal stakeholders (principally Applied Science) and externally as necessary.
• Critically evaluate information from a variety of sources to produce and maintain roadmaps that align to the strategic visions for the products, and use them as the basis for release planning.
• Decompose requirements to create Epics and Stories with appropriate and sufficient detail for their use at the time and maintain them in the appropriate systems.
• Work with stakeholders and the Scrum Master to prioritise the backlog ensuring it is appropriately detailed so that the development teams have a steady flow of work to take into the sprints.
• Lead proposals from the Research Group and Business Development and manage a smooth transition through Product Management ready for use in product and strategic projects.

Skills / Experience Requirements:

• Broad understanding and practical experience of agile software development and the role of a Product Owner.
• Previous experience creating and managing roadmaps for multiple releases across a number of different products.
• Previous experience of liaising with external customers to promote releases.
• Knowledge and experience of requirements gathering and analysis.
• Able to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to quickly adapt to ambiguous and changing circumstances.

You will work in collaboration with development and scientific teams whilst engaging with the customer, typically pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies, to form an integral part of their ongoing product roadmaps. As part of small agile teams working with cutting-edge software, you will shape the strategic roadmaps and releases of the products ensuring they deliver value to users and enhance the portfolio of their market-leading and internationally recognised solutions.
