About the Company - Our client is a global stock exchange. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Product Manager to lead and enhance the Foreign Exchange (FX) data products within the business line. This client-facing role requires acting as a product expert, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of FX data. The successful candidate will collaborate with development, infrastructure, integration, the broader product team, and sales to drive data-driven decision-making and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

About the Role - Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data management policies to ensure high data quality and integrity across FX data products.
• Monitor and maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, implementing processes to detect and correct data anomalies.
• Conduct data gap analysis and identify data management requirements to optimize data quality by working with business stakeholders and IT.
• Automate existing processes around data quality checks and data access.
• Manage the integration of FX data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with technology teams to develop and enhance data processing pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Serve as the product expert for FX data products, providing support to internal teams such as sales and client services globally.
• Engage with clients to understand their data needs, address inquiries, and provide solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, integration, the broader product team, and sales to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that support business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure alignment on data strategies and initiatives.
• Actively manage delivery queues to ensure seamless and timely deployment to client.
• Ensure that FX data management practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, stay abreast of emerging regulations and assess their impact on data management.
• Lead a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in data management, preferably within the financial services sector and with exposure to FX data.
• Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
• Manage a team of product owners / data analysts and set objectives.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with time-series databases and analytics platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to both solve problems and support business growth.
• Desire to foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
• Encourage innovation in data management practices and the adoption of new technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in data analysis.
• Understanding of Foreign Exchange markets and related financial instruments.
• Familiarity with data product ownership and lifecycle management.
