Job Description

A successful Product Manager can independently lead and manage a business or product area within a brand. They can pinpoint customer value and identify MVP solutions that can be delivered through collaboration with design and engineering team members. This person is directly engaging customers on a weekly basis to better understand the industry, customer pain points, and how their product delivery will solve customer problems. A successful Product Manager engages internal stakeholders to drive product understanding and establish a strong public narrative for release. They are continuously developing expertise in their business or product area through research, competitive analysis, emerging technologies and market trends. A Product Manager owns the management of their roadmap and must have a clear understanding of the reasoning behind each decision.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Owns planning, vision, and implementation of features for your business or product area.
  2. Engage current and prospective customers to understand and analyze their needs, business practices, and future plans.
  3. Identify areas of improvement with your existing product area and fresh opportunities to thrill the market.
  4. Engage internal stakeholders to drive product releases and support the public narrative for feature releases.
  5. Deliver clear and comprehensive product requirements to provide guidance to the development team.
  6. Own the management and grooming of a product backlog ensuring tickets are ready to be pulled into upcoming sprints.
  7. Engage sales, marketing, and customer support to capture customer feedback and to ensure prompt and seamless delivery to the market.
  8. Align your product roadmap with the broader product strategy and find balance in delivery between long term investments, shorter term wins, and tech debt.
  9. Partake in the Scrum process and help drive effective scrum ceremonies including standups, grooming sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  10. Outline key metrics for success and articulate plans for continuous measurement and iteration.
  11. Ability to focus on customer value and identify MVP solutions that deliver on that value with the least amount of time, effort and risk.
  12. Identify and eliminate low value work undertaken by their agile team.
  13. Engage with design, research, and development to clearly articulate customer pain points and build a process for effective problem solving.
Qualifications
  1. 6+ years professional experience managing software products from inception through launch and iteration.
  2. Ability to operate and engage with a product team with minimal supervision.
  3. Experience and comfort engaging customers directly regarding product and business challenges.
  4. Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
  5. Empathetic: you have a talent for understanding what our customers are trying to achieve and why they are trying to achieve it.
  6. Analytic: you can spot the commonalities in seemingly different customer requests and identify opportunities to address them with a unified solution.
  7. Innovative: you have a flair for bold ideas that can potentially deliver game-changing competitive advantages.
  8. Strategic: you can slice big projects into pragmatic MVPs that maximize customer value with the least amount of time, effort and risk.
  9. Collaborative: you believe that a team works best when everyone is communicating daily about how each person’s piece fits in the shared vision.
