About the Role

As one of a highly collaborative cross-functional team, you’ll be able to shape the technical architecture, product, and culture of Travtus. This role would be an excellent fit for someone who wants to help shape a growing business, providing input on all aspects of the business with a focus on product design, development and delivery.

Responsibilities

Our Product Engineers work across the technical stack, designing and implementing the solutions that become indispensable to our clients.

Tasks include:

1. Python Development: Deliver projects in Python, ensuring high performance and scalability
2. Deep collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align on goals and deliver results
3. Generative AI & ML: Integrate Gen AI solutions and explore machine learning for business applications
4. System Architecture: Design scalable, secure platform-based architectures (microservices, event-driven, etc)
5. Large-Scale Data Handling: Build systems to manage and process large data volumes efficiently
6. API Development: Design secure, scalable APIs
7. AWS Cloud Expertise: Architect and deploy systems using AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc)

Experience

As a Product Engineer at Travtus you will design, implement and improve our backend infrastructure. We are particularly interested in hearing from Engineers who have designed secure backend platform-based systems and have an excellent knowledge of modern cloud architectures, particularly AWS.

Must-have experience

1. Strong product-focus, owning end-to-end feature development and testing
2. Extensive Python experience architecting product, platforms or microservices
3. Experience with API development
4. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services

Nice to have experience

1. Experience or strong interest in AI
2. Experience with TDD and an understanding of Contract testing
3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and strategies

Compensation & benefits

1. Salary range: £70,000 - £95,000 (experience dependent)
