The Role:

We're looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our fantastic team in London. In this role, you'll work closely with our Product Design Lead, product managers, and engineers to create exceptional user experiences for our customers. Your goal? To design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that help people discover and shop from over 11,000 designers and 8 million products.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the design direction of our products, from concept to execution. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our designs are visually appealing, functional, scalable, and aligned with our brand values.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Product Design Lead and product team to design the UX and UI of our products, features, and releases
  • Working closely with our user researcher, analyzing data and user insights to inform design decisions and create user-centric solutions
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate your design ideas
  • Ensuring consistency and coherence across our product designs, adhering to our design systems and guidelines
  • Providing design guidance and mentorship to junior designers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Working with engineers to ensure that designs are technically feasible and efficiently implemented
  • Presenting and defending your design solutions to stakeholders, clearly articulating the rationale behind your decisions
  • Keeping up with industry trends and best practices in e-commerce and product design, and sharing insights with the team

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong product design experience, with a strong focus on e-commerce or fashion retail
  • Experience designing for e-commerce apps is a huge plus!
  • Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like InVision or Axure
  • Strong, confident skills in working with design systems and pattern libraries
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A user-centered design approach, with a deep understanding of user research methodologies and the ability to interpret both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Commercial pragmatism - you'll have a keen interest in how the business works and will be able to translate this into your own decision-making
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output
  • A passion for creating delightful user experiences and a keen eye for detail
  • The willingness to give and receive constructive feedback, and continuously improve your design skills
  • A portfolio that showcases your user-centric design solutions across various platforms (web, mobile, etc.), highlighting your UX and UI design skills

Our Ways of Working: We come into the office between 2-4 days a week and we're always in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We strongly believe that in-person collaboration and time spent together as a team allows us to deliver high impact work, but the flexibility to also work remotely supports our diverse team.

Time Off: In addition to the 8 statutory bank holidays, you will receive 29 holidays per year. Lyst’s holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

Pension Scheme: Our pension provider is The People’s Pension. We offer a minimum employee contribution of 5% and 3% employer contribution.

Eye Tests and Vouchers: Employees can make a saving on their eye test and glasses through our chosen provider. You’ll receive a free eye test every year and a discount towards glasses.

Cycle-to-Work Scheme: Lyst will purchase a bicycle from your chosen retailer, you will then receive a voucher to pick up your bicycle from them.

Transport Season Ticket Loan: Employees can apply for an interest free season ticket loan to support your travel to work.

Social Events: Frequent company wide social events including Christmas & summer parties, sports days, themed drinks, quizzes, cook alongs, as well as smaller team socials. We also have plenty of interest based groups such as football, running club, book club, culinary and more.
