Job description

dunnhumby is the global leader in Customer Data Science, empowering businesses everywhere to compete and thrive in the modern data-driven economy. We always put the Customer First.

Our mission: to enable businesses to grow and reimagine themselves by becoming advocates and champions for their Customers. With deep heritage and expertise in retail – one of the world’s most competitive markets, with a deluge of multi-dimensional data – dunnhumby today enables businesses all over the world, across industries, to be Customer First.

dunnhumby employs nearly 2,500 experts in offices throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas working for transformative, iconic brands such as Tesco, Coca-Cola, Meijer, Procter & Gamble and Metro.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer ready to take their career to the next level. You'll be joining our Tesco Retail Media team and play a key role in designing seamless end-to-end experiences for our products and clients. As part of our growing Design team, you’ll collaborate with world-class, passionate professionals to unlock the power of data for our retail and brand clients through innovative, data-driven digital solutions.

What you’ll be working on

As part of a fast-paced, agile, and global team, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, user researchers, UX writers, engineers, data scientists, and product managers to solve complex challenges in innovative ways for our retail media products. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will be essential in fostering cross-functional alignment and avoiding siloed efforts.

You’ll also support the Product Design Manager in establishing and upholding design and research standards, ensuring a high-quality, consistent product experience.

Key accountabilities

  • Translate product requirements into intuitive user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes while partnering with product managers to align design with business goals.
  • Provide design leadership within the product teams, collaborating closely with product managers, user researchers, engineers, and data scientists to deliver industry-leading, user-centric experiences.
  • Manage and coordinate design efforts within a product space, ensuring clear communication and alignment with other teams.
  • Validate designs through user research and industry best practices, presenting findings and design rationale to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the value of design, ensuring its impact is understood across teams while contributing to the development and tracking of key product performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Continuously refine your skills, stay up to date with industry trends, and grow as a designer.

What we expect from you

  • Proven experience in product design within B2B companies, including designing, validating, and measuring end-to-end product experiences. A strong portfolio showcasing impactful design work and case studies is essential.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Jira, and Confluence, with the ability to lead ideation sessions and workshops using design thinking methods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and storytelling skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and articulate design decisions.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, UX/UI principles, interaction design, and business metrics (KPIs).
  • Hands-on experience conducting user research, usability testing, and integrating insights into the design process.
  • Ability to drive iterative design within an agile development environment, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.

What you can expect from us

We won’t just meet your expectations. We’ll defy them. So you’ll enjoy the comprehensive rewards package you’d expect from a leading technology company. But also, a degree of personal flexibility you might not expect. Plus, thoughtful perks, like flexible working hours and your birthday off.

You’ll also benefit from an investment in cutting-edge technology that reflects our global ambition. But with a nimble, small-business feel that gives you the freedom to play, experiment and learn.

And we don’t just talk about diversity and inclusion. We live it every day – with thriving networks including dh Gender Equality Network, dh Proud, dh Family, dh One and dh Thrive as the living proof. Everyone’s invited.

Our approach to Flexible Working

At dunnhumby, we value and respect difference and are committed to building an inclusive culture by creating an environment where you can balance a successful career with your commitments and interests outside of work.

We believe that you will do your best at work if you have a work / life balance. Some roles lend themselves to flexible options more than others, so if this is important to you please raise this with your recruiter, as we are open to discussing agile working opportunities during the hiring process.
