An established industry player in convenience food manufacturing is seeking a Senior Process Technologist to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will spearhead process development and line trials, ensuring that all projects meet customer specifications and enhance operational efficiency. Your expertise in food science and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high food safety standards. Experience with the validation and verification of processes, particularly allergens and meat products.
Ideally educated to degree level in a food science or related subject, plus relevant working experience within a food manufacturing environment.
Relevant qualifications essential such as Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health and Safety, HACCP Level 2, Sensory Training Level 2, and Microbiological Training Level 2.
Experience in evaluation and interpretation of shelf-life results.
Experience in interpretation of customer codes of practice.
Experience working with different types of computer programmes and can demonstrate experience analysing project results.
Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and a variety of retailer web-based systems is desirable.
Understanding of technology relevant to the business area and area of responsibility, and a demonstrable understanding of technical key performance indicators.
Can demonstrate the following skills and experiences: GMP knowledge of techniques, basic hygiene principles, basic legal labelling, and basic knowledge of weight legislation. These may be trained or developed; they do not all need to be in place at recruitment.
