If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to join a dynamic team.

The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Senior Process Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering engineering and technical solutions across a variety of projects in U.K nuclear infrastructure. You will have the chance to engage in studies, design reviews, and plant modifications while mentoring junior team members.

Location: Bristol and other locations

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

  1. Ensuring compliance with relevant procedures, codes, and standards.
  2. Producing calculations, analyses, design documents, and technical reports.
  3. Supervising designers and trainee staff in the production of drawings and engineering models.
  4. Preparing technical scopes of work and specifications.
  5. Supporting tender assessments and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Conducting design risk assessments, reviewing design changes, and assessing concessions and technical queries.
  7. Raising design quality plans and preparing for hazard identification and HAZOP studies.
  8. Ensuring thorough reviewing, verifying, and approval of all deliverables.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline with significant demonstrable experience.
  2. Membership in a relevant engineering institute or capability of achieving Engineering Council registration.
  3. Experience leading small teams and managing analysis activities across a range of projects.
  4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple disciplines.

It's great if you also have the following:

  1. Experience managing engineering scope for projects from concept design through to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).
  2. Broad experience across commercial and defence projects.

The setting for the role:

Risks and hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licensed site. These can include nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gases, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided, and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
