Job Description: Private Client Solicitor (6+ Years PQE) – Central London

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor with 6+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join a highly reputable law firm in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal professional to advance their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment, working with high-net-worth individuals and complex estates.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advising clients on all aspects of private client work, including wills, trusts, estate planning, and inheritance tax matters.
2. Managing a varied caseload of high-value and complex private client matters, including contentious and non-contentious probate.
3. Providing bespoke legal solutions tailored to the needs of high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees.
4. Advising on cross-border estate planning, domicile, and international tax matters where required.
5. Drafting and reviewing wills, powers of attorney, trust documents, and other related legal instruments.
6. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
7. Supervising junior members of the team and contributing to their professional development.
8. Assisting in the firm’s business development initiatives, including networking and attending events to expand the client base.

Requirements

1. A qualified solicitor with at least 6 years PQE in private client law, ideally gained in a leading London or regional firm.
2. Strong technical expertise in wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning, with a focus on high-value estates and international matters.
3. STEP qualification or working towards it is highly desirable.
4. Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
5. Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
6. A commercial mindset and the ability to contribute to the growth and success of the department.
