Are you a skilled facilities professional ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment?

As our Senior Premises Officer, you will lead daily operations, ensuring our facilities run smoothly and efficiently.

From overseeing maintenance and managing cleaning staff to handling budgets and supporting capital projects, your leadership will be key to our success.

Working alongside the School Principal and Business Support Manager, you will play an essential role in maintaining compliance, enhancing our facilities, and driving operational excellence.

What will you do?

  1. Manage the daily operation and maintenance of the school's facilities, ensuring that they meet the required standards.
  2. Provide training and support to other staff members, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out their work.
  3. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans under the guidance of the Area Site Manager, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Support capital projects, working with the Area Site Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that facilities are upgraded and improved as necessary.

What are we looking for?

  1. Experience in a facilities management role.
  2. Experience managing a team, including cleaners and caretakers.
  3. Flexibility – prepared to work some hours outside normal.
  4. NEBOSH or IOSH Certificate in Environmental management, Legionella Prevention, Fire Marshall, Safeguarding Training, Working at Heights, Risk Assessor, PAT testing.
  5. Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
