Job OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic Senior Practice Educator to join the FHFT Education Academy and lead the development and delivery of high-quality education and training for both internal and external learners.
As an experienced nurse or allied health professional (AHP), you will build strong collaborative partnerships, identify learning needs, and design education programs that support professional development across healthcare settings. With expertise in practice education, you will apply a strategic approach to training, ensuring high standards and impactful learning experiences.

Main duties of the jobDelivering high-quality education and training across the Trust and its partner organisations, using a variety of methods, including face-to-face, virtual, and blended approaches. This will involve engaging with healthcare professionals across different settings, including secondary care and community-based environments, with potential for travel across the UK.
In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the professional development of staff through mentorship, training programs, and competency assessments. You will be expected to work flexibly across various locations, adapting to the needs of the service and ensuring that education and development are accessible to all relevant healthcare professionals.
You will act as a role model in education, fostering a culture of excellence in learning and professional growth, while ensuring that clinical and educational standards are upheld. Providing expert clinical and educational advice will be a key aspect of the role, ensuring that healthcare professionals are supported in their continuous development.
Moreover, you will assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs, ensuring these align with best practice guidelines and regulatory requirements. Your contributions will be integral to maintaining high standards of education, improving service delivery, and promoting lifelong learning within the healthcare environment.

Person specificationQualificationsEssential criteria- Current NMC registrant (Adult nursing) or HCPC registrant
- Degree educated
- ENB 997/998, mentorship, Practice Assessor or equivalent
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education
- MSc or working towards
- Quality improvement qualification
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development
Desirable criteria- Professional Nurse Advocate or working towards qualification
- Human factors qualification
- Advanced communication qualification
- Project management qualification
SkillsEssential criteria- Demonstrates written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Agile approach to work with the ability to prioritise
