Specific Requirement:

As a Senior member of the team, your remit will be varied and all-encompassing. Specifically, this will include:

1. Working closely with all staff, using your commercial acumen in helping drive the business forward.
2. Preparing Statutory Accounts and corporation tax returns for SME clients. These include limited companies with turnovers ranging from 500k to £5m.
3. All elements of Personal tax, from assisting with the preparation of self-assessment returns to more senior tax planning.
4. Working closely with the bookkeepers and management accountants to ensure smooth operation of all compliance work and helping with any queries beyond their scope.
5. Reviewing VAT returns for accuracy.
6. Managing a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries, ensuring a high level of client service is maintained.
7. Developing strong relationships with clients, being the 'go-to' person for help.
8. Playing a key part in advisory projects and being on hand with other departments.

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA with excellent technical knowledge.
2. A wealth of general practice and tax experience in a senior capacity from an accountancy firm.
3. Fully digitally comfortable, specifically with Xero (although training can be provided, so is not a pre-requisite).
4. A commercial mindset to play a key part in making the firm even more successful.
5. The necessary personality traits, these being: drive, ambition, enthusiasm, passion and excellent client facing skills.
6. A true problem solver, well-organised and able to effectively manage your own workload.
7. Suit a dynamic and fast-paced SME environment where team ethos is paramount.
