Job Description:

SR2 are currently looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer for a new customer of ours in the AI safety sector.

Location: Central London (3 - 4 days a week onsite).

Role & Responsibilities:

Work closely with the tech team to help deliver key projects on time, ensuring the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient.
Help in building the infrastructure from the ground up.
Design and provision the infrastructure that their researchers depend on daily and contribute to the software platform they build on top of this infrastructure.
Administer and secure internal AWS accounts.
Provision and maintain an internal Kubernetes cluster.
Help set up and manage organisation-wide security processes.
As the infrastructure specialist on a small team, you'll have broad decision-making authority on their infrastructure stack.
Set best practices and compliance for cloud environments to drive the technical direction of the business.
Work closely with senior management to introduce new ideas that will benefit the team and the wider business.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with AWS.
Good hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with IaC (Terraform preferred).
Software engineering skills (ideally Python).
Proficient in CI/CD tools, version control systems, and containerisation technologies (such as Docker).
Experience leading & working on infrastructure projects from start to finish.
Exposure to LLM evaluations would be a big plus!
