About the Role

Are you an experienced Plans Technician with a passion for accuracy and compliance in Scottish land registration? We're looking for a Senior Plans Technician to join our expert team, helping clients navigate the complexities of land registration in Scotland.

In this role, you will interrogate legal deeds to ensure compliance with The Keeper's Criteria at the Registers of Scotland (RoS) prior to ordering Planned Reports. You will provide expert advice to our Clients and Customers in this area. Your expertise will be key in ensuring our clients receive a first-class, seamless service.

About You

You're a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in title plan preparation and Scottish land registration law. You have hands-on experience with GIS mapping software, an in-depth understanding of RoS mapping criteria, and the ability to interpret complex legal descriptions. Your problem-solving skills are second to none, and you thrive in a role that requires precision and expert guidance.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  1. Strong experience in preparing and interpreting title plans based on Scottish legal deeds.
  2. In-depth knowledge of Registers of Scotland's land registration and cadastral mapping requirements.
  3. Familiarity with Plans Reports and their role in land registration.
  4. Proficiency in GIS mapping tools for deed plan preparation.
  5. Strong understanding of boundary determination, servitudes, and burdens.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with legal professionals.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience in a legal, surveying, or land agency environment.
  2. Knowledge of Scottish property law.
  3. Familiarity with Ordnance Survey mapping and geographic coordinate systems.
