Our client, is seeking a Senior Planning Officer on a contract basis to join their dynamic team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with expertise in Development Management, looking for a challenging and rewarding position in a forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing and managing development management projects from inception to completion
Assessing planning applications
Providing expert advice on planning policies and procedures
Engaging with stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, and the public
Preparing comprehensive reports and presenting findings to planning committees
Ensuring all planning activities comply with relevant legislation and regulations
Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality planning solutions
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning laws and best practices

Job Requirements:

Experience in Development Management
Strong understanding of planning legislation and policy frameworks
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in planning or a related field
