Job: Senior Planning Obligations Officer

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £45+ per hour

Contract: 6 months + rolling
Hours: 37.00

IR35: Inside

Hybrid: Hybrid/Remote

Overview of the role

The role involves managing, tracking, and distributing financial contributions from developers under CIL and Section 106 agreements. It includes monitoring development progress, ensuring compliance with legal agreements, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Manage collection, distribution, and timely allocation of developer financial contributions (CIL & Section 106).
  2. Maintain accurate records of CIL and Section 106 funds received and spent.
  3. Liaise with council finance officers to ensure consistency in records.
  4. Monitor development progress to identify when contributions are due.
  5. Investigate breaches of CIL and Section 106 agreements through various systems.
  6. Process applications for exemption and relief under CIL regulations.
  7. Develop and maintain a computer-based system to track all CIL and S106 obligations.
