Ocean to Earth Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Senior PMO to join an award-winning environmental consultancy based in Edinburgh.


About the Role:

Our client is a leader in delivering specialist Planning Monitoring Officer (PMO) services for major energy projects across Scotland. They support Scottish Government (Energy Consents Unit), Local Planning Authorities, and developers in overseeing compliance with environmental and planning conditions. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to be involved in high-profile, long-term projects such as:

  1. Broken Cross Windfarm, South Lanarkshire
  2. Inverary to Crossaig Overhead Line, Argyll and Bute
  3. Cononish Gold Mine, Tyndrum, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park
  4. Sneddon Law Windfarm, East Ayrshire
  5. Duntilland Quarry, North Lanarkshire

This role involves regular site visits (weekly or monthly) to various projects across Scotland, environmental reviews, and audits of key documents such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). You will need confidence in construction environments, making this an excellent opportunity for Environmental Clerks of Works (ECoWs) looking to expand their expertise.


What We're Looking For:
  1. Relevant degree - Environmental Science, Geography, Planning, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  2. Experience on construction sites, providing environmental advice
  3. Professional membership in a relevant institution (or working towards one)
  4. Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland
  5. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  6. Strong organisational skills - ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
