- As a valued member of our Programme Solutions Team, we are actively looking for Planning & Scheduling professionals at all levels to support project and programme teams across all sectors including Power transmission, Defence, Water, Rail, Highways, Infrastructure, Nuclear and Energy

Responsibilities- Working collaboratively with project teams and WSP clients, you will ensure that all stakeholders and responsible persons understand and own the sequencing of project deliverables and the assessment of progress.
- For some roles, there will be further opportunities to use and develop additional skills with a focus on project scoping & financials, leading individual projects for key clients, and in collaboration of the wider WSP team to support client business development.

YOUR TEAM- Our Programme Solutions Team contains planning professionals with differing backgrounds and seniority, based from our offices across the UK.
- Collaboration, communication and team working are second nature within the team, supported by regular Planners Community of Practice meetings which gather the team together to share team knowledge, and best practices.
- Our team actively considers new and innovative ways of working and seeks continuous improvement in the delivery of its services.
- We work on nationwide and local projects that support sustainable growth and development across the UK. Our sectors include power transmission, highways, rail, transport, energy, EVCPs, water, defence, waste, clean air, active-travel and many more in which you could become involved.
- Our clients, based both within the UK and internationally, are industry leaders, local enterprise companies, and local government organisations, meaning we support growth opportunities spanning multiple sectors and project types.
- All our offices are selected for their proximity to public transport links, shops/cafés/and parking. We encourage a net zero culture and blend our activities to maximise opportunity for minimising our impact on the planet.
- The Planning roles will report to one of our Regional UK Planning Managers in a WSP local office (within the P&CS Service Line) and be accountable to the relevant WSP Project Director who leads the client commission.
- Planning & Scheduling is part of the wider PMO team which comprises the wider disciplines of Project Controls, Risk Management, and Digital services.
Qualifications- A highly collaborative and pro-active approach to teamwork, with excellent planning, organisational and communication skills, both in-person and when working remotely
- Developed project/programme schedules (Level 1 to Level 4+) from first principals and scope descriptions using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- The demonstrated skills to develop, progress and maintain fully logic linked schedules for engineering projects
- The ability to develop integrated master schedules, add dependencies and utilise project control information from multiple information sources.
- Reviewed the quality and integrity of third-party schedules, including critical path analysis & the documentation of recommendations.
- Undertaken resource/cost loading of schedules and EVM knowledge.
- An awareness of NEC programme clauses, the assessment of delays and what-if scenarios
- An attention to detail with the skills to produce a programme narrative.
- An interest in developing and sharing planning & control best practice.
- Have knowledge, understanding and experience in project controls services management
- Hold a degree, similar higher education or appropriate qualifications or relevant work experience in construction, or engineering
- Design, FEED, EPC, full project lifecycle project experience (incl. Construction)
