Role: Senior Town Planner/Principal Town Planner/Associate/Associate Director

Location: Leeds

Salary: Competitive (DOE)

My client is looking for talented Planning professionals to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team. I'm keen to speak with individuals from both the public and private sectors who are either at Planner level and looking to step up to Senior, Seniors Town Planners, Principal Town Planners, Associate and Associate Directors.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, renewable energy and leisure and tourism.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage planning applications for various development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes.
• Prepare and submit planning applications, coordinating supporting documents, managing consultant contributions, and responding to local authority inquiries.
• Lead pre-application discussions and negotiate with local planning authorities and key stakeholders.
• Draft planning statements, conduct policy reviews, and produce supporting reports to justify proposed developments.
• Manage and support planning appeals, including preparing appeal statements and collaborating with legal teams.

You will have:

• Demonstrated town planning experience in either the public or private sector.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and organisational abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
• Proven ability to collaborate and negotiate effectively with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients.
• A proactive mindset with commercial awareness in planning consultancy.
• Flexible, creative, and solution-oriented approach.
