Senior Piping Materials Engineer

Job Location:
Leatherhead Office

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop deliverables including Piping Material Classes, Technical Specifications and Requisitions.
2. Interface with other engineering disciplines as well as supporting disciplines.
3. Work individually or as part of a team in the home office and abroad.
4. Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
5. Committed to multi-centre project execution.
6. Liaison with suppliers and vendors.
7. Adhere to KBR WAY engineering standards and procedures as well as provide input to their development and enhancement.

Skills / Experience:

Essential:

1. Knowledge of applicable industry standards (ASME B31.3, API, BS EN etc).
2. Experience of working on Projects requiring PED (CE Marking).
3. Technical knowledge of different Valves and Special Piping Items.
4. Experience on large FEED and EPC projects.
5. Forward thinking and happy to challenge the way we work and contribute to the development of the KBR WAY.
6. Experience in the specification of materials including super duplex, stainless steel, carbon steel and non-metallic piping.
7. Keen to knowledge share with Engineers located in Leatherhead and in other offices.
8. Good communication skills.

Qualifications:

1. Mechanical Engineering Degree (BEng) or Material Engineering Degree (BEng).
2. Chartered Engineer Status or working towards Chartership (desirable).
