Main duties of the job

About us

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital We've opened the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This is our flagship center for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology and urology services. Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 Specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres and Endoscopy and minor ops theatre. With 28 consultation rooms. Cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit and full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray.

Job description

Senior Physiotherapist (Hand therapy) Nuffield Health at St. Bartholomew's Hospital | Bank | Part Time £30.00 per hour. Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability. Hand therapy clinics may initially be scheduled as required before becoming regular weekly clinics as activity levels increase. We require a senior physiotherapist with experience of hand therapy and splinting to join our bank to deliver post-operative outpatient physiotherapy. You will work closely with our orthopaedic surgeons to provide a full hand therapy and splinting service. As a Senior Physiotherapist at our hospital, you'll have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. You also have excellent clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills, and you're committed to developing as a practitioner. You're a confident communicator, skilled at engaging with all kinds of people.

To succeed as a Senior Physiotherapist, you will:
  1. Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

  3. Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  4. Be able to demonstrate excellent rehabilitation skills.
  5. Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills.
  6. Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
