Senior Operations Manager - Social Housing Repairs

TristoneNash are supporting one our close housing partners to appoint a Senior Operations Manager to oversee major response repairs contracts around Hereford, Worcester and surrounding areas. As well as overseeing contractor performance, this role will manage complex contractor relations with the aim to increase overall deliverables and value for money. This is a home based role with the occasional contractor meeting on performance progress and office management meeting.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Developing and sustaining long term strategic relationships with key partners in delivering a customer focussed programme of planned investment, but mainly major repairs, responsive and void repairs to create a seamless service with shared values.
2. Leading on the appointment & management of sustainable partnerships ensuring contractors including specialist areas, are resilient and profitable whilst delivering good quality services.
3. Developing and embedding processes & procedures from the evaluation of data.
4. Working closely with other senior members of the department within the organisation on both a Regional and National level.
5. Management of the surveying team.

To apply for this position, we are looking for:

1. Educated to HND level or equivalent, professional qualification in construction, housing, or property.
2. Experience of working at a senior level delivering programmes of planned investment, major works and responsive repairs.
3. Proven experience of leading multi-disciplined teams across a wide geographical area.
4. Experience of managing large service budgets.
5. Knowledge of building law, regulation, building contracts, contract law and health and safety legislation and best practice.
