On behalf of our client, Harper Finley are recruiting a Senior Operations Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a well-established company in the agricultural industry, predominantly in the supply chain of Livestock from farm to fork and they are looking for an experienced person to oversee their operations in the UK. This person is commercially minded, strategic with an exceptional aptitude for process improvement and supply chain.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage Supply Chain Operations, with a focus on process improvement and inventory management.
Lead the sales team, manage their performance and encourage their own professional development
Ensuring strong collaboration, and excellent relationships with product end users
Oversee logistics, keeping on top of all movement of product, liaising with internal logistics team
Review company performance, manage budgets and suggest improvements to current operations
Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure high quality supply chain operations.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Previous experience in a Senior Supply Chain or Operations role within the Livestock, Poultry or Pork industry.
Excellent commercial and financial acumen, capable of developing and managing operational and project budgets
Excellent project management skills with experience in managing capital expenditure projects
Operationally astute with a keen understanding of supply chain operations and logistics
